V....Vaughan
This year's
event will be judged by artist,
V....Vaughan. As a renowned
plein air painter, she has painted at
locations all across America, winning awards
throughout the country. Her paintings have
begun to be acquired by museums and
collectors. During the Paint the Town event,
fifty pieces of Vaughan's Last Year on
the Farm exhibition will be shown and
available for sale.

The
Uptown Marble Arts Alliance announces the
fifth annual Paint the Town plein air event in
Historic Downtown Marble Falls.
Over fifty juried artists will set up their easels.
Collectors are invited to attend and watch the
artists at work. A silent auction
of paintings produced at the event will begin
Saturday at 6:30 pm and end Sunday at 3:00pm.

April 16-18, 2010
Artists may begin to
paint Friday morning and paint through
Saturday afternoon.
Awards
will be presented at the Saturday
evening reception. Open to the public;
with silent auction of event produced
paintings, and wine and hors d'oeuvres.
Artists may also display and sell up to
three previously produced paintings in
the event tent.
Winners will
receive prizes of cash and either a
medal designed by sculptor Dan Pogue or
a ribbon.
1st prize - $1000 and
Gold Medal
2nd Prize - $600 and
Ribbon
3rd Prize - $400 and Ribbon
4th Prize - $300 and Ribbon
5th Prize
- $200 and Ribbon
Sunday afternoon, The Uptown
Marble Arts Alliance is hosting a
V....Vaughan gallery talk and book signing.
She will be sharing with us how she
approached the project...Last year on the
Farm exhibition, and describe her new
project for January 2011.
